1. Service Description
X4 Digital ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered website design and hosting service. Our platform uses artificial intelligence to generate custom websites based on your input, delivered as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
The service is provided "as-is." We make no guarantees of uptime, availability, or fitness for a specific purpose.
2. Content Ownership
You own the content you provide (text, images, documents). X4 Digital retains no ownership of your content.
Generated code: you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use the generated website code. Ownership of AI-generated code follows applicable law in your jurisdiction.
You may download your site files (HTML/CSS/JS/images) at any time via your dashboard and self-host them, including if your hosted site is taken offline.
3. Hosting and Availability
- Hosting is included while you have an active paid plan or a plan kept free through the referral program (Section 5).
- We do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage or SLA.
- If you cancel or your plan lapses for non-payment and you do not have enough active referrals to keep a plan free, your hosted site is taken offline (see Section 4.6). We do not delete your content without your explicit request, and you can download your files and re-subscribe at any time to bring your site back online.
- We reserve the right to discontinue the service with 30 days written notice.
- You can export and self-host your site at any time.
4. Your Free Month, Billing & Auto-Renewal
4.1 Card on file & your 30-day free month
- At signup we collect and store your payment-card details with our payment processor, Stripe. No charge is made at signup and no charge is made during your 30-day free month. The card is held on file solely to (a) verify you are a real person and deter automated abuse and (b) enable the subscription to begin automatically after the free month unless you cancel.
- There is no activation fee, setup fee, or signup charge of any kind.
- Your free month lasts 30 calendar days from the day you place your card on file.
- You may cancel at any point during your free month. If you cancel during the free month, you are not charged anything. Because the free month is part of the standard paid plan, cancelling without enough active referrals to keep a plan free means your hosted site is taken offline at cancellation (Section 4.6); you can download your files and re-subscribe at any time.
4.2 Automatic conversion to a paid subscription (negative option)
- At the end of your 30-day free month, unless you have cancelled or unless you qualify for a free or discounted plan through the referral program (Section 5), your subscription automatically begins as a paid monthly subscription at the then-applicable price of the plan you selected.
- Recurring charge. The applicable monthly amount will be charged to your card on file at the end of the free month and on the same date each month thereafter ("auto-renewal"), until you cancel.
- Plan prices: Starter €10 / month, Power €20 / month, Pro €30 / month (or the equivalent same-numeral amount in $ or £ for your region). The exact amount and currency that will be charged are shown to you before you confirm, when you place your card on file.
- Referral outcome at the end of the free month: with two or more active referrals your plan is free and your card is not charged; with one active referral you are charged half (Starter becomes €5); with no active referrals you are charged your plan price. See Section 5 for full referral terms.
4.3 Pre-charge reminder
- We will email a reminder to your registered address between 3 and 7 days before any charge — including your first charge at the end of the free month and any later charge that results from a referral change (Section 5.4) or a price change (Section 4.7). The reminder states that a charge is coming, the amount, the date of the charge, and a one-click link to cancel.
4.4 How to cancel (one click, any time)
- You can cancel at any time — during your free month or while subscribed — in one click from your dashboard, with no requirement to call, email, or speak to anyone.
- If you cancel during your free month, you are not charged.
- If you cancel after a paid period has begun, your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month; you keep access to your paid features until then and are not charged again. We do not charge partial-month fees on cancellation.
- When your access ends after cancellation, your hosted site is taken offline unless you have enough active referrals to keep a plan free (Section 4.6).
- You may also email support@x4digital.co as an alternative, but email is never required — the one-click dashboard cancellation is always available.
4.5 Consent record
When you start your free month you affirmatively agree to these auto-renewal terms by checking an un-pre-ticked consent box. We retain a record of the exact terms shown to you, the plan and price displayed, and the date and time of your consent, so that both you and we have a clear record of what was agreed.
4.6 What happens when you have no active plan (site goes offline)
- X4 Digital does not offer a permanent free tier. Your site stays online only while you have (a) an active paid plan, or (b) enough active referrals to keep a plan free (Section 5).
- If you cancel, or your subscription lapses for non-payment, and you do not have enough active referrals to keep a plan free, your hosted site is taken offline. This is not a reduced "free" version of your site — the standard plan is what keeps it online, and without an active plan (paid or referral-funded) the hosted site does not stay published.
- We do not delete your content without your explicit request. You can download your full site files at any time, and you can re-subscribe at any time to bring your site back online.
4.7 Failed payments
If a subscription charge fails, we retry up to 3 times over 7 days and notify you at each step so you can update your payment method from the dashboard. If all retries are exhausted and you do not have enough active referrals to keep a plan free, your subscription lapses and your hosted site is taken offline as described in Section 4.6. Your content is not deleted without your explicit request, and you can re-subscribe at any time to bring your site back online.
4.8 Price changes
Price changes for existing subscribers require at least 30 days' advance notice by email or dashboard notification. New pricing applies at the next billing period after the notice period. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
5. Referral Program
5.1 How referrals work
- Every customer receives a unique personal referral link (for example, x4digital.co/r/your-code). You share your own link; you do not enter or import anyone else's email address.
- A qualifying referral is a new person who (a) reaches X4 Digital through your referral link and (b) completes signup by placing a valid payment card on file (i.e., starts their own free month). A referral does not "count" until that person has placed a card on file.
- An active referral is a qualifying referral whose own X4 Digital account remains active (their free month is running or their subscription is in good standing and not cancelled). Your rewards are based on your number of currently-active referrals — not a lifetime total.
5.2 The reward ladder
- 0 active referrals: you pay your plan's normal price.
- 1 active referral: 50% off the applicable plan price (for example, Starter effectively costs €5 / month).
- 2 active referrals: a free Starter plan.
- 3 active referrals: a free Power plan.
- 4 active referrals: a free Pro plan.
A "free" plan here means the standard Starter, Power, or Pro plan made free through referrals — there is no separate free product tier. The reward that applies at any time is determined by your current number of active referrals, recalculated when your referral count changes (subject to the 30-day advance notice in Section 5.4).
Customers who join during the launch promotional period keep a higher 70%-off reward at the 1-active-referral rung for as long as they maintain at least one active referral; the 50%-off reward above is the standard rung that applies otherwise.
5.3 Reward applied at the end of the free month and at each renewal
At the end of your free month, and at each monthly renewal, the price you are charged reflects your then-current rung on the ladder. With two or more active referrals your card is not charged. With one, you receive your applicable single-referral discount. With none, you are charged the full plan price.
5.4 If an active referral drops (strict, with 30-day advance notice)
- Because rewards are based on currently-active referrals, if one of your referrals cancels or lapses and your active-referral count falls below the level needed for your current reward, your plan does not silently revert and you are not charged by surprise.
- Instead, we will notify you (by email and/or in-app) that an active referral has dropped, tell you the new price that would apply, the date it would take effect, and give you a 30-day period to refer someone new to restore your reward level.
- If, within that 30-day period, you bring your active-referral count back up to the required level, nothing changes and you continue at your existing reward level.
- If the 30-day period ends and your active-referral count is still below the required level, your plan resumes at the applicable price for your current number of active referrals, and your card on file is charged that amount on the date stated in the notice. This is the same kind of clearly-disclosed, reminded, easy-to-cancel charge as the free-month conversion in Section 4 — we email you a reminder before it applies (within the window stated in Section 4.3), and you can cancel in one click before then. If you cancel and have no active plan, your site is taken offline as described in Section 4.6.
5.6 Anti-abuse rules
The referral program rewards genuinely introducing new, independent customers to X4 Digital. To keep it fair, the following are prohibited and will result in forfeiture of referral rewards and may result in account suspension or termination:
- Self-referral. You may not refer yourself or create additional accounts to refer yourself. Referrals between accounts that share a payment card, billing identity, email address, device, or network/IP address may be treated as self-referrals and disqualified.
- Fake, bot, or throwaway accounts. Referrals to accounts that are not genuine, independent users — including automated, fabricated, duplicate, or disposable accounts — do not qualify.
- Circular or reciprocal referral rings. Coordinated arrangements whose purpose is to manufacture "active referrals" for mutual benefit rather than to introduce genuine new customers do not qualify.
- Incentivised spam or misrepresentation. You may not spam, or misrepresent X4 Digital, to obtain referrals.
We may verify referrals, withhold or claw back rewards obtained through prohibited activity, require additional verification before granting or paying a reward, and revoke rewards where we reasonably determine fraud or abuse has occurred.
5.7 Nature of referral rewards
Referral rewards are discounts on, or free access to, the X4 Digital service. You are never required to buy anything, pay a recruitment fee, or purchase inventory to take part in or earn from the referral program. You earn only from people you personally introduce — never from the people they go on to refer; there is no multi-level downline. No cash is payable to participants; every reward is a discount on, or free access to, the service. Rewards are personal to your account, are not transferable, and have no cash value. We may modify or discontinue the referral program on reasonable notice; changes will not retroactively remove a reward you have already properly earned for a period already served.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use X4 Digital for:
- Illegal content, malware, phishing, or hate speech
- Content that violates applicable law
- Automated or bot abuse of the site builder
- Abuse, fraud, or manipulation of the referral program (see Section 5.6)
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
X4 Digital is not liable for: business losses, lost revenue, lost customers, or any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from use of the service, including downtime, bugs, or design errors.
Our maximum liability is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 3 months, or EUR 50, whichever is greater.
AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving your site content before publishing.
X4 Digital is not responsible for third-party integrations (Stripe, Google, Cloudflare, etc.).
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your mandatory consumer rights.
8. EU/UK Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you enter into the contract under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations.
Because your first 30 days are a free month during which you are not charged, exercising this right during the free month means you are not charged at all. To exercise this right, use the one-click cancellation in your dashboard, or email support@x4digital.co. Where a refundable charge has been made, a refund will be processed within 14 days of your withdrawal request, as described in our Refund Policy.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
X4 Digital is established in the State of Delaware, United States of America. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and without prejudice to the consumer rights described below.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom: nothing in these Terms restricts the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Where applicable law so provides, you may bring legal proceedings against X4 Digital in the courts of your place of residence; X4 Digital may only bring proceedings against you in the courts of your place of residence. The competent consumer regulator and out-of-court dispute-resolution body in your country also remain available to you. The arbitration and class-action waiver provisions of this Section do not apply to consumers in the European Union or the United Kingdom; your full statutory rights to bring proceedings, including collective actions where permitted by your local law, are preserved.
For all other users: the parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation, then mediation, and then binding individual arbitration seated in Delaware, to the extent permitted by the law applicable to you. Class actions are waived only to the extent your jurisdiction permits.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Section deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes to your billing, free-month, or referral terms will always be notified in advance and never applied to a period already paid.
