Refund Policy

Overview

X4 Digital aims to be fair and transparent. Your first 30 days are a free month during which you are not charged at all, so for most people who decide X4 Digital isn't for them, cancelling means there is simply nothing to refund. There is no activation fee or signup charge. Here is exactly what happens at each stage.

During your free month
No charge. You can cancel any time during your free month in one click — you are never charged, so there is nothing to refund. To cancel: use the one-click cancellation in your dashboard, or email support@x4digital.co. When you cancel, your hosted site is taken offline unless you have enough active referrals to keep a plan free (there is no permanent free tier); you can download your files and re-subscribe at any time.
Days 1 – 14 (EU/UK)
EU/UK cooling-off period. If you are an EU/UK consumer you have a 14-day right to withdraw from the contract from the day you sign up. Because the first 30 days are a free month, withdrawing in this window means you are not charged at all. If any refundable amount has been charged, it is refunded within 14 days of your request.
At the end of the free month
First charge (unless free via referrals or cancelled). If you have not cancelled and do not qualify for a free plan through referrals, your first monthly charge occurs (Starter €10 / Power €20 / Pro €30, or the same numeral in your currency). With 2+ active referrals you are charged nothing; with 1, you are charged 50% of the applicable plan price (Starter becomes €5). We email you a reminder a few days before this first charge.
After a charge
After a monthly charge. No refunds for the current billing month (except mandatory consumer rights). Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; until then you keep full access to your plan's features, and you are not charged again. When access ends, your hosted site is taken offline unless a plan is kept free through referrals.
Mid-cycle upgrade
Upgrade (e.g., Starter to Pro). Prorated billing via Stripe. You pay the difference for the remainder of the current period.
Mid-cycle downgrade
Downgrade (e.g., Pro to Starter). No refund for the current period. Your new (lower) plan takes effect at the next billing date.

Referral-Earned Free Plans

If your plan is free because you have enough active referrals (see the Terms, Section 5), there is no charge and therefore nothing to refund while it remains free. This is the standard plan made free through referrals — not a separate free tier. If an active referral drops and you do not refer a replacement within the 30-day advance-notice period, your plan resumes at the applicable price on the date stated in our notice; we email you a reminder a few days before, and you can cancel in one click before that charge applies. Once such a charge has occurred, the same after-a-charge rule above applies.

Cancellation is always at least as easy as signing up. We will never make it difficult to leave.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable refund or withdrawal right you have under the consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
